Angie Sowers has worked in mental health counseling and addiction treatment for over 22 years. She obtained a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio. She holds two independent licenses with supervision designation in the state of Ohio as well: licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC-S) and licensed independent chemical dependency counselor (LICDC-CS). Her professional experience includes individual outpatient counseling, group counseling, chemical dependency treatment, EAP counseling, SAP-certified drug-free workplace testing, and assessment. She also works as a professor in the addiction counseling graduate program at Walsh University. Angie is passionate about working with individuals on their unique journey toward sobriety and wholeness. She especially enjoys mentoring new counselors and improving collaborative service provision in innovative, evidence-based treatment. Away from work, Angie enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, yoga, and spending time with friends and family. She resides in North Canton, Ohio, with her three children and her mini dachshund, Dottie.
