Dr. Jordan C. Calabrese is a distinguished board-certified psychiatrist with a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of his patients through his clinical work, leadership, research, and educational efforts.
Dr. Calabrese’s journey in the medical field began at the University of Miami, where he earned a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in Business Administration. He then pursued his medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2014. In 2022, he graduated from
the Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL, where he served as chief resident for a year. In 2023, Dr. Calabrese completed his Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the Kansas University Medical Center.
Presently, Dr. Calabrese has a passion to work with substance abuse clients, and serves as a provider and medical director in the state of Kansas. He also provides psychiatric consultation services, as well as serves in numerous leadership roles
Dr. Calabrese also enjoys his role as an educator for up and coming physicians. He has spent time as an assistant as an Affiliated Lecturer for HCA GME, where he also shared his insights on psychiatry and addiction medicine with students. Dr. Calabrese has presented at several forums, including the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting as well as multiple local and regional conferences. His publications and presentations cover a wide range of topics, from opioid use disorder in adolescents to dissociative identity disorder, the role of anti-craving medications in alcohol use disorder patients, as well as potential therapeutic effects in neurotrauma cases.
In the past, Dr. Calabrese has volunteered his time to organizations serving cancer patients, educating medical students, running food drive initiatives, as well as building sustainable organic farming projects. Outside of work, Dr. Calabrese enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, weight lifting, and training in Brazilian jiu jitsu.
